I've been gone fishing, where fishermen became fishers of men

This is from the roof of the Tiberias branch meetinghouse, where us four did a musical number for church.
Putting our feet in the Jordan River.
Susie, Jessica and I at Caesarea Philipi, which is where Christ asked Peter, "Whom say men that I am?" and Peter answered, "Thou are the Christ, the son of the living God."
Storming Nimrod's Castle, a Muslim Fortress that brought the child out of all of us.
Imitating Elijah on Mount Carmel, where Elijah showed up the priests of Baal. Thank you, Spencer, for your playing-dead skills.

  1. You didn't tell me you performed a musical number at Tiberias Branch! Pray tell, what did you sing? Nimrod's Castle is a blast, isn't it? I laughed out loud at your Elijah role-playing. And, it appears you have a new outfit--very nice!

  2. We sang Jesus Savior, Pilot Me. How appropriate for the setting, right? I sang alto which was a new experience. I don't have a new outfit at all, actually. I've been wearing the same little collection of clothes for 3 months...haha.

  3. This will give you a glimpse as to how ignorant I am about the rest of the world's geography, but what is the Jordan River like? Is it really cold (the Columbia river I grew up by was freezing), or is it warmer?

  4. The Jordan river was pretty warm where we were. It's huge and there are parts that are really dirty and other parts like where we were that are really clear. That's where everyone gets baptized. There were scores of people getting baptized while we were there.
